Tiab Introduces Transducer Database

The latest version of Tiab's Digital Controller Software includes an innovative, fully-integrated transducer database feature, which builds on the simple two-step process for adding transducers introduced in Tiab's Digital Controller Software v5.0.

When adding a transducer to a system, users can now opt to import the calibration settings for that transducer from a central database on the corporate network, or even the Internet.

The transducer database allows central storage of all transducer calibrations, reducing setup times at the rig as well as reducing the chance of human error on setup leading to a misconfigured transducer.

The database can be searched by transducer type or serial number. When a transducer is imported, all its calibration details become immediately available for use on the rig. If a transducer needs to be re-calibrated, the operator can store the new calibration details back to the database.
