MAST Tables
The Tiab Digital Controllers compute in real-time up to six degrees of freedom (DOF) transformations to control MAST tables. In MAST configuration this provides independent control in the X, Y, Z, Roll, Pitch and Yaw axes. The centre of rotation is nominally the centre of the table top, but it can be interactively repositioned by simply specifying the new x,y and z co-ordinates. Using Tiab's BASE-LEVEL SOFTWARE™ allows bespoke front-ends to be designed to each customers precise requirements making user interaction as intuitive, efficient and friendly as possible.
The system can readily accommodate different actuator geometry configurations by simply specifying the table and base actuator attachment co-ordinates, central actuator length and actuator strokes. Geometry analysis will validate the co-ordinate transforms ensuring it remains statically determinant (so lock-out will not occur) for all combinations of actuator extreme positions. The full Eulerian angle transformation matrix computations are performed in real-time (25KHz) on the Digital Signal Processor (DSP).
