Tiab systems now include CAN interface
All Tiab Digital Controllers can now be supplied with CAN2B interfaces (backwardly compatible with all earlier CAN versions). Simply select a CAN configuration file (*.dbc) and all required CAN data is immediately available for real-time monitoring and control. Another seamless integration further enhancing the flexibility of our Digital Controllers.

Tiab release their BASE-LEVEL SOFTWARE™

All Tiab software is now offered in Base-Level™ format. This provides the complete test software platform that allows Bespoke front-ends to be designed - to precise customer specifications - with ease. The Bespoke applications are synchronized and run seamlessly with all other Tiab functionality. The days of restrictive "generic software solutions" are formally over.

Tiab's BASE-LEVEL SOFTWARE™ provides the common software platform for a raft of test applications.
Vehicle Safety, Component testing, Single and Multi-axis testing : Vibration, Durability, Seat Belt Anchorage testing, Seat and Head Rest testing, Gearbox Dynos, Steering test, Servo-valve testing, Damper Dyno, Head Form and Side Impact, Drive shaft testing, Rubber coupling, Bolt testing, Multi Axis Shake Table (MAST), Wind-tunnel Model and Belt controller, Man-rated Vibration and Fatigue.

Tiab present paper at the IMechE seminar on Control Techniques for Dynamic Testing
Maarten Michielen (Support and Development Engineer, Tiab Ltd) presented a paper entitled A Flexible Platform for Developing Control Techniques for Dynamic Testing. It covered the innovative approach to providing flexible control systems that Tiab has pioneered, and uses a specific application to emphasise the benefits.
In total ten papers (event brochure 1.1 Mbytes) were presented from universities and commercial organisations.

Tiab release the Tiab Card Nest
Tiab are proud to release our new IP67 rated, eight channel remote conditioning unit. The robust enclosure can be mounted close the transducers to minimise noise pick up, yet readily allows comprehensive settings adjustments. The wide range of high specification conditioning has been achieved by using the highly rated Fylde Micro Analog 2 boards.

Tiab secure R&D award
The need for the UK to maintain and strengthen its position as a world leader in R&D has never been in question. To this end the government's support for emerging technologies has once again rewarded Tiab with R&D grants.
Conway Young, Tiab's Technical Director, reflects "We will enhance the modularity and flexibility that we have championed and pioneered since our inception five years ago.  The grant will allow specialists in many diverse applications the use of our Digital Control Systems for specific and independent development.

Automotive Testing EXPO 2007.
For the three days of the event Tiab staff demonstrated our systems and capability to the European and Asian market, where we already an established test system provider.

Tiab expand hydraulic hardware range
Tiab now offers a range of hydrostatic actuators and service manifolds.
The actuators can support large side loads, are fatigue rated and can achieve accuracies to 0.02mm over the full travel.
Hydraulic service manifolds cover low and high pressure solenoid control, to precise proportional control - with many safety and monitoring features. Please contact Tiab for more details.

New Tiab racks
Our new zintec, desktop and 19" racks now provide a more robust and spacious enclosure for our Digital Controller electronics. The surface finishes emphasise the quality we maintain throughout. The simplicity of a USB2.0 link to the PC and rear panel connectors to exact customer specifications, ensures the whole package is neat and effective.

Tiab prepare for this year's exhibitions

A bumper month for repeat orders
Last month Tiab received eleven repeat orders from existing customers for new digital controllers - making it our most successful month to date. This confirms our customers' confidence in us to provide them with quality solutions and comprehensive system support. 

Digital Encoders now supported
Tiab now offer integrated digital conditioning for absolute and incremental encoders. Signal processing up to 150MHz ensures fast, noise-free data transfer.

Tiab release their full range of modular analogue and discrete I/O boards

• Analogue Input: 8 channels, buffered with variable anti-alias filtering, and gain and offset adjustment
• Analogue output: 6 channels, protected and filtered, +/-10V or +/-5 to +/-100mA
• Discrete Input: 10 channels, low level triggered or high level relay or voltages with filtering
• Discrete Output: 6 channels, watchdog protected logic levels or relay contacts up to 30V, up to 5A

Tiab stretches its wings
Tiab now supports three UK car manufactures and their tier one and component suppliers.
In motorsport we have provided systems to five Formula One teams and progressed into their supporting industries.
We have established ourselves in Test Houses, Universities, R&D labs and to date cover the UK, continental Europe and Asia.

Tiab clinch three more orders from the continent and their first University contract in the UK. Each application requires a bespoke front-end, readily designed and supported with the Tiab system design.

Tiab launch the Tiab Sequencer. This new module allows the set-up and running of long test sequences to be reduced down to - a single button press.

In a customer satisfaction survey of recent clients Tiab were rated highest on : technical ability, support capability, quality and innovation.

Tiab exhibited at the Stuttgart Testing EXPO. After a very successful event last year, we were proud to return to Germany for this very prestigious event.

Tiab successfully trademarked MIMIC™. The technique Mimics in-the-field responses on test rigs. The perfect name for an ideal solution.

Two further prestigious UK motoring companies place orders with Tiab. Three orders from the continent and one from Asia - an encouraging start to 2006.

Tiab successfully commissioned their first nine actuator control system. Despite a high technical specification and precise customer requirements the project was completed in nine weeks, from order to final acceptance.

The importance of accurately reproducing field data in the test lab is a key aspect of hydraulic test systems. Tiab's MIMIC works seamlessly with the Tiab range of Digital Controllers, to simply and effectively provide this functionality.

Tiab have extended their support from Europe into Asia and Russia. The internet connectivity of our systems makes on-line support seamless and efficient but, should the need arise, we can now also be quickly on-site with the highest levels of technical support.

Tiab further expands Motorsport client base
Tiab's client base in Motorsport alone now covers four Formula One Teams, Champ car, Rally Raid, Touring car, DTM, Formula 3 and Formula Ford.

Tiab gains new team members
There were two additions to the permanent staff: Seamus Crowe for Customer Liaison and Andrew Parkinson to head software development. Seamus had already been involved from the start, but became a full team member. Similarly, we are pleased to have "rescued" Andrew from returning to Australia to enhance our experience in control and electronics.

Tiab moves into new premises at Tuthill Park, Banbury.
Tiab Limited was established after fifteen years experience and consultancy in Testing and R&D organisations. The change came about to achieve independence and allow our products to be commercially available.
